Vision and the Report Card

I have often preached that before you start any undertaking you should define the report card that would be used to measure success.   Effective leadership requires and demands that you articulate a vision, define the metrics for success and then strive to implement the vision measuring success using a simple report card.

The vision is to re-create America as a self sufficient nation with a self sufficient people.   Liberal progressives/communists/socialists.   ... will immediately balk..

This is not a viable reality we must all lean on each other; nations to nations, individuals to individuals.   The flaw in this reasoning is that it simply expands the level of need.  This is great if you are trying to redistribute need.  The talking points on national liberal media this week began the process of an Obama-nation... trialing the idea of ending elections for the next 4 to ten years.   A necessary prerequisite to establishing stability on the road to shared individual responsibility and class warfare.

Business and government leaders presented the idea that the expense of elections was "waste we cannot afford" (Starbucks CEO)  and instability that erodes confidence in our government (multiple talk show hosts and liberal politicians).

Many of my liberal friends have posed the same advice .. a benign socialist dictatorship would solve all of our problems, and enable those best educated (liberal educations) to manage and govern.

They are expressing their vision.   It is currently failing everywhere in the world.  Each and every failure can be blamed on just not getting it "right".  We are at step 6 or 7 implementing president Obama's vision of national socialism.   Just another example of not getting it right.

How about an attempt at restoring American greatness.   Let us recreate the successes of our greatest generation, rather than the failure of our worst generation.   The current group of liberal democrats brought us the Vietnam War, the Welfare State, Trickle Up Poverty and now Crisis Driven Politics. How can we stand by and let them perpetuate a flawed vision.   I don't even want to try and apply a report card to their "success".
A correct vision is the antithesis of Trickle Up Poverty and Crisis Driven Politics.

Self sufficiency as a nation; as a people drives aggregate success from individual success.   Over time the number of those in need is driven so low as to be easily managed.   Crisis are not created to drive a political agenda, but solved.

I have struggled over the last few weeks with how to communicate the metrics of success associated a correct vision for our nation's future,  simply and effectively.

I thought about a simple tutorial on calculus, return on investment, macro economics, micro economics, whew...

Then it became clear.   Self sufficiency as a nation, self sufficiency as individuals is the vision.   The report card is simple.... we need 4 A(s) and an A+.

The vision...
Self sufficiency as a nation requires:
1) Restoration of our industrial/manufacturing base   ... self sufficiency = making what we consume
2) Restoration as the economic leader of the world ... self sufficiency = a small affordable government
3) Restoration as the democratic leader of the free world ... self sufficiency = a wealthy successful people
4) Restoration of our image as the shining city on the hill ... elevation of the weakest amongst us from destitution to self sufficiency, for the small few who cannot lift them selves ... a caring people raise them up.
5) Restoration of our energy independence ... we are the Saudi Arabia of coal, nuclear, natural gas and solar energy ... restore our ability to not only consume our own energy but to export energy

Report card objective:
1)  A.  60 percent of all goods sold in America are labeled made in America within 10 years
2)  A.  less than 20 % of GDP is spent on government (state and federal) (5 years)
3)  A. Less than 4.5 % unemployment, less than 20 % total effective tax rate (5 years)
4)  A+ Less than 1 % of citizens below the poverty level, (10 years)
95.5 % employed,  99% self sufficiency, elimination  of the need for welfare
                (10 years)
5) A 90% of energy consumption is from domestic sources within 10 years

B = 20% deviation in time to achieve
C = 30% deviation it time to achieve
D = 40% deviation in time to achieve
F = Continuation of national socialism

Leadership and vision

President Obama has been successful in implementing his vision of a communist dictatorship in America.   Only 1 senator and the 2010 election stopped the inevitable conclusion of the government takeover of housing, finance and medical sectors.   Massive fund transfers from private citizens to government unions virtually ensured the collapse of small business.   Big business started moving out en-masse.

Communist and socialist think tanks around the world are relishing in the collapse of the world’s largest capitalist economy.   Clarity of vision .. yes.. leadership?  Yes … just not where the vast majority of America wants to go.   Recent graduates of liberal arts colleges can’t believe people are upset.  Just give the new system time to take hold.   The government will be much more “fair” than conservative, libertarian or other socially immoral groups.   Socialism will rock.  Bill O’Reilly has no conscience, no ethics he is just a !@!@##$%^& pig.  How is Fox news still allowed on the air?   Barack Obama should have shut them down immediately.   He just isn’t moving fast enough.

Unfortunately, 51 percent of America views their new “government base” as a positive financial safety net.   Their only “anger” is at the slowness or redistribution.   When is the government going to move them into their new house?   When is the government going to pay their utilities, or kick in for a PHD in music?  Could it be that Obama Economics (Obamanomics) doesn’t work?

As with the Jimmy Carter years, you can’t spend your way out of debt and Keynesian economics, socialism and communism are just nice words for poverty for all…. Well except for the government/liberal elite.  Stagflation… that is the ticket.   Still people seem disillusioned.

So it is time for leadership and vision.   Obama’s approval rating dropped below 40 percent this week, as a fresh wave of union members... and even the far left have become disenchanted.   National socialism leads to ever increasing poverty.

How about a new vision?  One that will appeal to liberals (not communists) and conservatives?  How about a return to prosperity?  How about a return to self-sufficiency, not just as individuals but as a nation?

The good news is that the rest of the world drank the kool-aid of Obamanomics 20 years ago.   The stage is set.   France, England, Greece… et al,  are socially and financially in collapse.   We can step forward and out of our economic mess.  They cannot.

First create the correct vision… Let us restore America as the premier financial and industrial super power.   Let’s make made in America the dominant label for virtually everything sold in America and the preferred label around the world.   This should be our unifying vision the rest is details.

Let’s make America the affluent nation we should be and let’s reduce the percentage of our population wallowing in poverty and need to such a small percentage that a generous society can lift them from poverty to self sufficiency.   A self sufficient people, make the job of the government so trivial that even if it fails, no one cares.  A small government which accomplishes nothing, is less expensive than a huge government that accomplishes nothing.

So with that said, let’s reduce the size of government immediately.
Simply close the Department of Energy, the Department of Education and Department of Health and Human Services.

Eliminate the government taxes and costs which drive the disuse of American labor by American companies.   We should have used the stimulus (1.6 trillion) to revise our tax system. Fortunately it is not too late.   End all taxes that (payroll and energy) that factor into cost of goods sold for American business.

Eliminate all payroll taxes and gradually phase in a national sales tax.

Eliminate all taxes on domestic energy.  We are the Saudi Arabia of coal, and nuclear energy.
Shift the whole country to domestic energy.

Eliminate corporate income taxes for all those who manufacture a product in the U.S.

Unions will love it, wealth for their workers.
Liberals will love it, as the economy recovers and the quality of the social safety net can be improved affordably.
Companies will love it.
Conservatives will love it.
United we move forward with a common goal.   Everyone, except the communists, best interest is served.

Vision and leadership… United we stand…

Score 1 for President Obama

I have to commend president Obama for his take out of Osama bin Laden.   Just keeping our government from snitching and alerting Obama is a masterpiece of covert intelligence.

Having the backbone to let the seals do their job... and not to tear them down afterwards.   Leadership.

Enough said.

Misovermistaken ... versus Misunderestimating

Misunderstimating …having thousands of government employees implement a “new” style democracy in Iraq…. Really American liberal, progressive, SEIU card carrying bureaucrats ….create a “new” style European democracy in Iraq … 10… 20… 30 … ever you fill in the number of years…1, 2…3 …4 Trillion dollars.   Definitely the term that defined George Bush’s presidency.

As for Obama…
Misovermistaken …having thousands of government employees, congressional staffers define a new style democracy in America…. Really American liberal, progressive, SEIU card carrying bureaucrats ….create a “new” style European democracy in America … 1… 2… 3 … forever, whatever … you fill in the number of years…1...2…3…4...30 Trillion dollars.   Definitely the term that defined President Obama’s presidency.

Everything is up…but he seems to have over-mistaken the quality of his successes …
Poverty up 20..40 percent local … worldwide. Hunger up… Oil dependency up….  Unemployment  up 15..30 percent local to worldwide.  Active wars up 200..300 percent worldwide.   Foreclosures up… Bankruptcies up … drug use up … crime up … graduation rates up (graduates can’t read, write or cipher) … government payroll up, … government salaries up.

You see,  misovermistaken is the reliance on government instead of individuals.  It is the constant and relentless incompetence of governmental elites, endeavoring to control every aspect of American life and restore a failed communist doctrine to world prominence.

Communism or social progressivism is simply the flip side of misunderestimating; misovermistaken.

Add these two phases to Wikipedia and let’s move back to a reasonable level of competence prior to misovermistaken.

How about progressing backwards to 5 % unemployment, houses selling for 95% of construction cost, poverty down to < 10 percent… etc
