Forrest Gump said stupid is as stupid does…
Wow our fearless leaders are really stupid. Refer to the following map.
http://travel.nationalgeographic.com/places/maps/map_country_afghanistan.html
For those who don’t know, Afghanistan is a country of less than 3,000,000 people. It is land locked by Islamic nations with no logistical access, except via Iran and/or Pakistan. …. Or donkey via ….
For those of you who may not have read it… the solution to the war in Iraq, other wars in the region and terrorism is the topic of my prior blog “The War In IRAQ”. It does not involve sending troops to Afghanistan.
President Obama made a fool of himself and the United States by declaring the war in Iraq to be a bad, illegal war. Obama's war in Afghanistan is a righteous and correct war. How little he knows of the military, war, strategy and tactics.
Stupid is as stupid does…
President Obama escalated the war in Afghanistan, from an advisory role with limited counter insurgency operations to a full scale conflict.
Obama’s war is now going to escalate again… 10,000 to 40,000 to 70,000 to 100,000 troops. Stupid…
Roll the clock back to 1976 and I am serving with Iranian soldiers and officers attached to the United States Marine Corps. They are going to the same military classes and receive the same classroom and field training as … me. They have been taught that the first goal of any war is to "shape the battlefield". The goal is to transform the battle field into an "away game". Collateral damage is maximized by fighting on your own turf. We know it… They know it.
Logistically costs increase with every mile you push inland from a major port. The first strategic objective is to fight every war as an “away game”. The second goal is to conserve on logistics.
Where do Arab/Islamic military leaders want to fight their “away game”? Afghanistan.
As a battlefield it is perfect for Iran.
For Russia… I mean America… next to impossible. It will cost us 30,000 dollars/year to defend/protect each Afghanistan “civilian”.
1..5 million dollars for each American soldier and marine in theatre per month.
Cost for each deployed enemy troop…~50 dollars per month.
Shaping the battlefield… really? Stupid.
Next we are going to train between 250,000 and 350,000 Afghanistan “peace keeping forces”. 1 in 10 Afghanistan residents….really? Stupid.
Then we are going to pay them (30 k per year?)… we’re creating better paying jobs for our enemies than for our own citizens…really? Stupid.
Then we are going to arm them…. New AK-74s, body armor, RPG-7s, ammunition, vehicles….really? Stupid.
Then we are going to educate them….Need to be able to assembly IEDs, rockets, remote detonators….really? Stupid.
Then we are only going to continue this stupidity, until July 2011….or until pacification on or... how about May 2011….really? Stupid.
We won’t continue to train and maintain this standing surrogate army for Iran unless the violence against American soldiers and Marines continues….really? Stupid.
Iran has always wanted to be the fifth largest nuclear power….they just haven’t had the ability to conquer Pakistan until July 2011….really? Stupid.
So to summarize…
We are going to train a surrogate standing army for the Islamic Brotherhood and stage it near the border of Pakistan. We are going to pay for it… field test it, … equip it … combat harden it against our own troops. Spend somewhere between 35 and 100 billion dollars… then withdraw our troops. The new surrogate army of Iran will busy itself deploying on the Pakistani border. They need a few months (May 2011 through July 2011) to rest and prepare to invade.
A successful invasion will liberate 300 nuclear warheads….really? Stupid.

Elephants, Donkeys and Ants
We find ourselves having displaced a government managed by a herd of elephants, now being trampled by a pack of donkeys. Is this really change we can believe in? The Donkeys are making the prior regime shine brilliantly by comparison.
The liberal press is spinning and spinning. How else can you make an economic collapse and emerging economic death spiral sound successful? With unemployment growing by hundreds of thousands per week and every major industry now controlled or within the grasp of government, spinning is a tough job. Our current government can best be described as fascist. Those businesses not controlled by government are fleeing as fast as their capital can be exported. As for the government controlled media, spinning fascism requires talent comparable to Joseph Goebbels (born 1897/died 1945). They just don’t seem to be up to the task.
A little education is required. The liberal democrats have been in control of the economy for almost 3 years. This is the Obama, Reid, Pelosi and Frank depression. George Bush is partially at fault because he did not employ the power of the veto and bully pulpit to stop or challenge the destruction of our economy. Such destruction was appropriately timed to coincide with the presidential election. I don’t think President Bush was fully ware of the shenanigans being undertaken by Barney Frank, et al. , shame on him.
Blame is fun, but we must get back to the central point, change we can believe in is not being trampled by a pack of donkeys. The problem with our political process is that it leaves us, the ants, with only 2 choices. Is it better to be trampled under the feet of elephants or under the hooves of donkeys? I am not in favor of either. The culmination of 3 years of economic disaster under the leadership of Obama, Reid, Pelosi and Frank is far worse than under George Bush. The economy has been shattered and its core is being scattered like a billion crumbs blown by a horrible wind.
What is a country to do? Bring on the Ants; three hundred and ten million ants. Ant power… To clean up this mess requires the focused deliberate strength of each and every ant. The role of government should be to empower us the people/ants to rebuild our economy. Ant power will not only prevail, but will produce a set of solutions so well balanced individually and collectively, that even the most arrogant ass or petulant pachyderm will be envious. Three hundred and ten million ants will best any pack or heard animal with ease.
The ants can and will bring vibrant life back to our economy in as little as a year. Empowerment will require:
1) end all payroll taxes effective immediately
2) moratorium on capital gains taxes effective immediately
3) freeze all government spending at 2008 levels
4) eliminate all energy taxes effective immediately
5) phase in an alternative energy plan that is not tax based
6) phase in a federal sales tax to replace any revenue needed after the economy is running vibrantly
The ants will create businesses, investments, and jobs. Manufacturing will rekindle. Wealth and affluence will return.
We can deal with the social impacts/issues after the economic engine is capable of powering the desired changes.
Ant power.. power to the ants .. power to the people.
Just say no to asses and pachyderms you meet.

The greatest game ever played
The greatest game ever played is being played ... right now.
If we roll back the clock to the greatest democratic president... 1992 ...
Bill Clinton.
We see that his veto power and the action of the prior liberal congress, set in motion the last "greatest game ever played". The death tax was well timed to strip the world war two generation of their family wealth; as those of WWII age simply died. The windfall tax boom fueled the government agenda of the 90s and few of the deceased complained.
Roll forward and here we are in 2008 and there is no generation to spread the wealth from. The government has already penalized the middle and lower classes to the extreme. The wealthy already pay the bulk of the taxes, or flee the country. So how can you tax and spend, if there is nothing left to tax. We are already exceeding 50 percent taxes for most Americans.
Joe Biden says it is our patriotic duty to pay more, perhaps 70 percent. His call for renewed "patriotism" has fallen on deaf ears.
Even the most guilt ridden liberal democrat wants no part of higher taxes.
Hm….what if they didn’t know they were going to pay them. The problem with raising taxes on the rich (popular) is that:
1) There aren’t that many rich …
2) They vote with their feet, shipping their investment capital overseas …why do you think the DOW is down 6 trillion dollars and investment funds in Singapore are up …
Where is most of the money in the U.S.? Why it is in the homes owned by individual Americans. They function just like savings accounts.
What a target….for the next ... "greatest game ever played"
Hold on… the first 500,000 of gain on a primary/secondary residence is tax free. Americans would never stand for …
….What if they can’t achieve capital gains…38-48% tax under the democrats “new deal” ….They would rather suffer than sell under these kind of rates…selling may be hard or impossible given a "perfect storm"
….What if they simply have no choice.
What if Barney Frank and his house committee (Finance and Commerce) and its 3 Government Sponsored Entities (Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Ginnie Mae) create the perfect storm. Just before the election… Guarantee the election and fund the pork all in one fair swoop...
What if home prices are driven down in all of the most desirable housing markets?
What if banks are driven to the brink of failure?
What if the democratic “new deal” bails them out, secretly with TARP funds. The winners and therefore the losers are all known.
What if “toxic” assets (houses in San Diego, Miami, Detroit, Atlanta….) all become government property for 32 cents on the dollar, purchased from the losers.
What if suddenly, miraculously the housing collapse comes to an end.
What if prices now at 40% below construction costs return to normal.
What if the government sells “its” houses, as the markets come back up, and creates the largest capital gains windfall tax capture in history.
The entire lower half of America’s tax payers have been caught in the new "greatest game ever played". Their equity is now the government's equity. The equity is taxed at not just the capital gains tax, but in it's entirety. 100 % capital gains tax, with an enormously broad base.
Luckily, gratefully the losers(home owners) gasp a sigh of relief as they are finally out from under those "toxic" assets.
They were irresponsible home owners... anyway
